Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital hosts North India's first academic conference for dialysis technicians.

Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Sector-20, Faridabad, made history by hosting North India’s first academic conference exclusively for dialysis technicians. The event brought together 150 registrants from across the region including Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh (Aligarh, Agra, Bulandshahar, Bareilly, Mathura, Palwal), and cities like Delhi, Gurgaon, Rohtak, Rewari, Manesar, Ballabhgarh, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad, to explore the latest advancements in nephrology, best practices, and innovative dialysis support care.

The conference featured a comprehensive scientific program on modern dialysis care. Key presentations covered hemodialysis techniques like high-flux dialysis and online hemodiafiltration; technological innovations in dialysis machines, water purification/RO systems, and infection control; vascular access management; critical care nephrology, including Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and emergency dialysis protocols; and patient safety measures. Experts also highlighted emerging trends such as digital monitoring in dialysis units, precision-based dialysis for better patient outcomes, and the growing role of trained technicians in quality care.

Interactive formats enriched the experience, with workshops, case-based discussions, hands-on training, live demonstrations, and practical sessions led by subject matter experts. These allowed participants to master the intricacies of new dialysis technologies and their real-world applications. The event emphasized standardized dialysis protocols and inter-professional collaboration to boost patient safety and treatment outcomes.

Mr. Amit Singh, Group CEO of Yatharth Group of Hospitals, addressed the session: “We believe that clinical excellence does not reside solely in doctors and their work but that it also extends to each member of the healthcare team who provides care to patients. For example, dialysis technicians are an integral part of ensuring that patients with kidney disease receive safe and high-quality care. By providing an academic platform focused on continuing education for dialysis technicians, giving them access to the newest information, knowledge, and skills required to perform their jobs effectively, we contribute to their professional development. This conference also demonstrates the strong participation and how important these activities continue to be.”

Dr. Reetesh Sharma, Chairman – Nephrology and Kidney Transplant at Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Sector-20, Faridabad, added: “Dialysis care is changing rapidly because of the integration of new technologies and evidence-based best practices. However, the success of these innovations relies on how effectively dialysis technicians are trained and apply their skills. One goal of this conference was to bridge the gap between new technologies and practice by providing up-to-date clinical data and hands-on training. Such initiatives will enhance dialysis care quality and patient outcomes in North India. We are pleased to lead this effort.”

Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Sector-20, Faridabad, stands as one of India’s premier healthcare providers, delivering patient-centric care with cutting-edge technology. Its Nephrology and Kidney Transplant departments lead in high-quality dialysis, complex renal disease management, and successful kidney transplants, supported by skilled specialists.
