The primary objectives of this trade mission were to foster partnerships with growth-oriented technology businesses, facilitate research and development opportunities
Instashield, a pioneering medical device technology startup specialising in virus and fungus disruption, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. The significant agreement was made possible with the support of the US-India SME Council during the Economic Development Trade Mission to India. The mission, led by Marc Elrich, County Executive of Montgomery, MD, and Elisha, CEO of the US India SME Council, involved more than 25 business and government leaders from the United States. The MoU signing took place at the US India SME Council Annual 2023 Incredible Inc 50 event in Hyderabad.
The primary objectives of this trade mission were to foster partnerships with growth-oriented technology businesses, facilitate research and development opportunities, enhance sales and market expansion activities in the United States, and explore collaborations with suitable organizations in various sectors, including Biotech, Healthcare, Cyber, AI, and Cleantech.
The MoU was formally signed by Hitesh Patel, Managing Director of Instashield, and Marc Elrich, County Executive of Montgomery, Maryland, in the presence of delegations from both the US and India. This MoU paves the way for collaboration in several areas, including providing international soft-landing and economic development programs to support market expansion activities in the US, as well as introducing valuable business networks and resources.
Instashield's revolutionary medical device technology is designed to disable a wide range of viruses and fungi. This innovative device has received validation from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Government of India, and is the world's first of its kind to effectively neutralise various viruses, including COV2.
Instashield emits hypercharge high-velocity electrons that strategically target the s-protein of the corona family of viruses, significantly reducing infectivity and curbing air and surface-borne transmission. The device generates an electron cloud across enclosed spaces, providing coverage over vast areas, starting from 5,000 square feet, and activates within just 18 minutes. This patented technology is certified by accredited labs and ensures safety for both human occupants and the environment.
Instashield has already made a successful entry into the Indian market in 2021 through various channels, including distributors, institutions, hospitals, pharmacies, and online platforms like Amazon.
In recognition of its ground-breaking innovation, Instashield was awarded as the fast-growing Medical Device Technology company during the event.
The Montgomery County Executive's office is dedicated to supporting businesses in Montgomery, Maryland, with programmes that include incubator facilities, partnerships with other organisations, fostering collaborations, access to capital, connections to industry experts, support for entrepreneurs, engagement, and outreach programmes, and more.
Hitesh Patel, MD, Instashield, expressed his excitement about the MoU, stating, "With our innovative medical device technology, this agreement represents a significant step toward combating viruses and preparing for any future pandemics on a global scale. We are grateful to both Montgomery County and the US India SME Council for their encouragement and support in promoting startups like us."
