Apollo Fertility, a part of the Apollo Health & Lifestyle and Apollo Hospitals group, announced the expansion of its 17th and one of the biggest standalone, state-of-the-art flagship fertility centres in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. Present during the launch were Ashwani Kumar, IAS officer, Kriti Garg, District Magistrate West Delhi, Madan Mohit Bhardwaj, Founder-Shewings Foundation, Anubhav Prashant, COO-Apollo Fertility and Dr Sweta Gupta, Senior Consultant-Reproductive Medicine & IVF.
Spread across 8500 sq ft, the centre consists of one of the first IVF labs with class 100 OT and laminar airflow to provide superior clean air for Embryos. A trained team of Clinicians and Embryologists, having a combined experience of more than 6000 IVF cases, will be offering world-class services here.
Speaking during the launch, Dr Sweta Gupta, Senior Consultant-Reproductive Medicine & IVF at Apollo Fertility said, “Over the past few years, infertility has emerged as one of the most common health issues among many young couples. Sedentary lifestyle, stress, irregular sleep patterns, diabetes, obesity, smoking and alcohol are but a few of the reasons for the rise of infertility in India. According to The Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction, infertility currently affects about 10 to 14 per cent of the Indian population, with higher rates in urban areas, where one out of six couples is impacted.”
“Many couples who want to start a family and are unable to conceive experience psychological and interpersonal distress that negatively impacts their quality of life. Infertility treatments, including medications and procedures such as IVF, can help couples overcome infertility and achieve pregnancy,” added Dr Gupta.
