MaxiVision forays into Tamil Nadu and Karnataka

MaxiVision will introduce Femto Robotic cataract, the state of the art technology for the first time in Tamil Nadu

MaxiVision Eye Hospitals, one of the largest eye care networks in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have announced their expansion plans to neighbouring states, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. MaxiVision will introduce Femto Robotic cataract, the state of the art technology for the first time in Tamil Nadu.

Speaking on the occasion, DrGSK Velu, Chairman of MaxiVision Eye Hospitals said “The expansion plan was set back for a while bidding for Vasan Eye Care, which the company has withdrawn due to various reasons. We are starting with one super speciality eye hospital in Tiruchirappalli, and expanding to other districts of Tamil Nadu within the next six months. We are fortunate to have the leadership of Dr Shibu Varkey, one of the leading ophthalmologists in Chennai, with over 25 years of experience. Dr Varkey, as Regional Medical Director, along with his team of eight other surgeons, and experienced management professionals will head the Trichy Cluster, which will spearhead our aggressive expansion plans in entire Tamil Nadu. In phase two we will enter Karnataka, and Kerala, along with our organic expansion in other districts of AP and Telangana”.

Sudheer, Group CEO of MaxiVision eye hospitals, said “ MaxiVision Tamilnadu, the expansion plan is the beginning of an aggressive expansion plan in 2023 to Southern states. MaxiVision will set up Super Specialty Tertiary care eye hospitals, in potential districts of Trichy, Salem, Madurai, Coimbatore, and Chennai, as hub centres supported by spoke secondary care eye hospitals, around these hubs in Tanjore, Kumbakonam, Perambalur, Erode, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Tuticorin, Tiruppur, Pollachi, Vellore, and Hosur, within this year. In the year 2023, we will also start our first hospital in Karnataka, in Bengaluru. This aggressive expansion plan will add 14 hospitals next year to the group, led by a team of 48 doctors and around 1000 patient care teams to give exemplary patient care in these hospitals.”
