Niramai launches breast screening facility in Kerala

The first installation of Niramai’s Artificial Intelligence-based Thermalytix solution for early detection of breast cancer was recently launched in Kerala. The Founder & CEO of NIRAMAI Health Analytix Dr Geetha Manjunath who developed this innovative technology inaugurated the first centre in Kerala at Keyhole Clinic, Edapally, Kochi along with leading doctors from Kerala, Dr R Padmakumar, Dr Madhukar Pai, Dr Arun Warrier, Dr Maria Varghese and Dr Mabel V Periera.
Niramai’s innovative solution called ‘Thermalytix’ is an automated breast health screening and diagnostic tool, which combines thermal imaging with artificial intelligence. NIRAMAI Thermalytix test can be done for women of 18 years and above. It is privacy-sensitive, non-invasive, radiation-free, and has high accuracy which can detect the minutest of lumps or other abnormalities. Women can avail the service with a prior appointment.
Dr Manjunath added, “We are excited to partner with Keyhole Clinic to take our clinically proven Thermalytix screening service to many more women in Kerala and help save lives. We are also conducting many free programmes to raise awareness amongst women about early detection of breast cancer and educating the masses on the importance of frequent checks.”

A CME on this novel technology was held during the occasion to learn more about this unique modality and how its no-touch, no-see, and no-radiation screening can encourage women of all ages to get tested. Dr R Padmakumar, Dr Madhukar Pai, Dr Arun Warrier, Dr Maria Varghese and Dr Mabel V Periera who chaired the CME spoke on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of Niramai in developing this technology which can save many lives.
