Sukoon Health opens mental health hospital in Bengaluru

The launch of the Bengaluru hospital is its fourth hospital unit Sukoon Health, which opened India’s first NABH inpatient psychiatry hospital in Delhi, announced the launch of its first state-of-the-art mental health facility in Bengaluru. The launch of the Bengaluru hospital is its fourth hospital unit. The inauguration of the facility was graced by the presence of Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, who led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. His participation highlights the government's support for enhancing the mental health infrastructure and recognises Sukoon Health's role in pioneering psychiatry care services in the region. Leading Bengaluru Psychiatrist, Dr Satish Ramaiah, serves as the Executive Director of Psychiatric Services and the Centre Head. Dr Ramaiah has contributed significantly to the field through his research in addiction, learning disabilities, and sleep disorders, with his findings published in esteemed medical journals.  “At Sukoon Health, we emphasise a holistic care plan aimed at enhancing not only the recovery but also the overall well-being of our patients. Concentrating on functional recovery, social engagement, and the prevention of future relapses, we seek to improve the quality of life for the individual. We achieve this by empowering our patients with personalised care and teamwork, actively involving their families and loved ones in the recovery process. This not only makes the healing journey more personal but also strengthens support networks for better health outcomes”, said Dr Satish Ramaiah, Center Head for Sukoon Health, Bengaluru.
