TGH Onco Life Cancer Center, Talegaon opens chemotherapy ward

Dr Suresh Advani, an eminent medical oncologist in India, will spearhead the clinicTGH – Onco Life Cancer Center, a dedicated chain of cancer centres has introduced an exclusive OPD and chemotherapy ward of Dr Suresh Advani. The esteemed oncologist with a remarkable career spanning five decades will spearhead the clinic.Dr Advani will be conducting the OPD for cancer patients. Along with Dr Advani other esteemed guests present were Uday Deshmukh, Chairman of Onco Life, Dr Pratap Rajemahadik, Ganesh Khandge, Sudhin Apte and Shailesh Shah.Dr Advani said, “I have a strong relationship with Talegaon city and it gives me immense pleasure to recall my memory of 1982 when I had done my first bone marrow transplant and the patient was from Talegaon. Over the five decades, I have seen that today's patient's attitude has drastically changed as they come forward for treatment with strong willpower to overcome the cancer. Also, patients want treatment facilities in their neighbourhood and so many new hospitals are coming up with daycare centres to offer cancer treatment.""Previously we used to see 90 per cent of the patients getting detected for breast cancer at stage four. Today in city patients, we see only 10 per cent of such cases. That means they are coming early, so people have changed and today breast cancer has become a curable disease," Dr Advani said. “We take immense pride in unveiling this clinic.
