Union Health Minister inaugurates Robotic Surgery and Artificial Intelligence Department at Yashoda Hospital, Ghaziabad

The hospital installed one of the 4th gen robotic surgery systems, Da Vinci, at the centre to make this technology accessible to more people

Ghaziabad-based Yashoda Super Specialty Hospital launched a new department for robotic surgery and artificial intelligence. The department was inaugurated by Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh L Mandaviya in the presence of Union Ministers, Hardeep Singh Puri and Gen VK Singh. The hospital has installed one of the 4th gen robotic surgery programmes, Da Vinci by US-based Intuitive, at the newly opened department. The hospital aims to make RAS affordable and accessible to the public through this initiative, with a focus on driving better patient outcomes. 

While inaugurating the department and scientific session, Hon. Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Mandaviya said that it is setting a milestone in the journey of health for all missions of the Government of India. He said that it is not only professional work for them to add this kind of service but they are doing it for the growth of the nation. He said the mindset of the nation has changed after 2014 people were only expecting the government to work for the nation but now private hospitals have started to come in the front with a holistic approach to the growth of the nation. 

Further to the inauguration, the hospital also conducted an informative session on the benefits of Robotic surgery and AI in healthcare, with a focus on robotic surgery technology. 

Hardeep Singh Puri said that other private hospitals should also come up with such great initiatives like the Yashoda –Kaushambi to take India to a leading position in healthcare globally.
