Asian Hospital, Faridabad has received the Platinum award from the World Stroke Organization (WSO) Angels initiative, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO). This recognition is a testament to the efforts of Dr Neha Kapoor, Associate Director and HOD Neurology, and her dedicated team at the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad.

Under the visionary leadership of Dr Kapoor, the Neurology department at Asian Hospital has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment and expertise in stroke care. Dr Kapoor has been actively involved with the WSO Angels Initiative since 2022, to identify, implement and promote best practices in acute stroke management. Her dedication and passion have significantly contributed to improved patient outcomes and the overall well-being of stroke survivors.

A robust framework has been created by utilising the E-Rescue registry for continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of the healthcare quality system in Asian. It has enabled them to adhere to global standards and implement best practices in acute stroke care. The data collected through this registry has been instrumental in determining discharge medications, functional status at discharge, and other crucial aspects of stroke management.
