Narayana Health earns JCI Enterprise accreditation

JCI has independently accredited eight Narayana Health hospitals, as well as Enterprise accreditation for the Group

Joint Commission International (JCI) has awarded its first Enterprise Accreditation in India to Narayana Health, a leading healthcare provider in the country, making it the sixth healthcare player globally to receive this certification.

JCI has independently accredited eight Narayana Health hospitals, as well as Enterprise accreditation for the Group. A common governance structure, standardisation in policies and procedures across facilities, and consistent excellence in patient care across the organisation qualified Narayana Health for enterprise-level accreditation.

A focussed four-member global surveyor team rigorously evaluated each of the eight hospital units, meticulously evaluating over 1200 parameters. Furthermore, comprehensive group-level evaluations and audits have been carried out to ensure compliance with JCI Enterprise standards in governance and leadership, human resource coordination, quality performance improvement, and system alignment.

Congratulating Narayana Health for achieving JCI Enterprise Accreditation Joel Roos, Vice President of International Accreditation, Quality Improvement & Safety, JCI said, “Through this accreditation, Narayana Health is evolving to an enterprise-wide approach to patient safety and quality of care. This not only demonstrates their commitment to quality across its enterprise but also allows for shared resources, strategic planning, and quality oversight under the enterprise.”

“JCI Enterprise Accreditation demonstrates our dedication and commitment to providing patients with best-in-class care. Our patient-centred attitude and care quality are unparalleled on a worldwide scale, and this certification attests to our capacity to meet and surpass JCI’s stringent requirements. I want to express my deepest gratitude to our team of experts whose unwavering commitment to upholding the highest quality standards has been the cornerstone of our success over the last two decades,” remarked Dr Devi Shetty, Chairman of Narayana Health.

Dr Emmanuel Rupert, MD & Group CEO, commented on this significant achievement, saying, “Receiving the JCI Enterprise Accreditation is a momentous milestone for us. This comprehensive, organisation-wide recognition of our commitment to quality and safety reflects our dedication to providing world-class healthcare and meeting the highest international standards. With a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals, state-of-the-art facilities, and a patient-centric approach, we are committed to making a positive impact on the health and well-being of our community.”
