Elsevier bags FICCI Healthcare Excellence Awards 2021 for digital innovation
ClinicalPath Primary Care is a clinical decision support tool that merges multiple guidelines to facilitate screening and is capable of delivering complicated pathways
Elsevier has been awarded the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) Healthcare Excellence Awards 2021 in the Digital Innovation in Healthcare category. The award recognises Elsevier’s innovative use of Clinical Path Primary Care–a declarative artificial intelligence (AI) based clinical decision support system and pathway technology –that incorporates content for maternal and child healthcare to support large-scale rollout across India.
ClinicalPath Primary Care is a clinical decision support tool that merges multiple guidelines to facilitate screening and is capable of delivering complicated pathways whilst remaining simple for frontline healthcare workers to help them deliver complex care for maternal and infant health conditions. At the same time, it helps support memory attrition as the application surfaces relevant questions required for the individual patient at the point of care. As a result, high-risk cases can be identified earlier, enhancing proactive patient management and optimizing clinical impact.
Shanker Kaul, MD, Elsevier said, "This recognition at the FICCI Healthcare Excellence Awards is a testament to our ability to collaborate with esteemed partners, such as NITI-Aayog and DIT, as well as leverage technology to help advance healthcare in India. Moving forward, we will continue to innovate and scale our solutions to further support the government’s dream of achieving accessible healthcare.”
Submissions of the FICCI Healthcare Excellence Awards, in the Digital Innovation in Healthcare category, were judged based on the feasibility and scalability of the healthcare solution to aid healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients that result in better healthcare outcomes.
