Lokmanya Hospitals in association with Maharashtra Orthopaedic Association recently conducted the Third International Symposium for Robotic Joint Replacement (ISRJR) in Pune under the leadership of Dr Narendra Vaidya. It is a one-of-its-kind conference dedicated to advancements and emerging technologies, techniques, and tools in Arthroplasty. The conference delivered an inspiring forum for you to renew your knowledge, perspective, and understanding of hip and knee arthroplasty and how the involvement of technology has contributed.
The event featured live broadcasts of eight knee and hip joint surgeries with the help of the world's most advanced robotic system, a detailed discussion of the scientific interpretation, resolution of doubts, limitations of the system, future improvements and, most importantly, actual benefits to patients. The selected theme was 'Latest 3ts In Arthroplasty: The Emerging Techniques, Technologies, And Tools, Their Outcomes, Benefits And User Experience'. Dr Vaidya explained the importance of technology through live surgery called 'Complex TKR' with the help of a robot on the knees of the patients.
The conference brought all the robotic technologies existing across the globe on a single platform, presenting eye-opening keynote lectures, didactic sessions, panel discussions, live surgeries, workshops, Meet the Expert sessions, and difficult case discussions, all conducted by well-known national and international faculties.
