Speaking about the new mobile medical unit, Dr Azad Moopen, Founder CMD, Aster DM Healthcare stated, “The Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Service has been helping a large number of people with medical check-ups, consultations and first-aid treatment. This is especially done for individuals residing in remote areas where healthcare accessibility is poor. With this initiative, we have the opportunity to bring medical support to marginalised communities through Aster Volunteers.”

The mobile clinic will have facilities to conduct medical camps in the most remote areas in villages and among tribal and fishermen communities. Identified patients will receive medical and surgical interventions either free or at highly subsidized rates. The medical units will be staffed with doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and pharmacists to provide prompt and specialized care.

Dr Nitish Shetty, CEO, Aster DM Healthcare – India said, “We are thrilled to launch the Aster Mobile Medical Services in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, reaffirming our commitment to expanding healthcare access and making a positive impact in underprivileged communities. These advanced mobile units bring diagnostic tests, consultations, and essential treatments directly to remote villages, bridging the gap in healthcare accessibility. Following our Chairman Dr Azad Moopen’s philosophy that profit is just a byproduct of healthcare, we aim to transform lives and ensure quality healthcare reaches everyone, regardless of their location or background.”
