HEAL Foundation, supported by Mylan Pharmaceuticals (a Viatris company), has launched the India Fights TB initiative. The new programme aims to spread awareness and enhance treatment adherence among TB patients in India.
R Shankar, President, HEAL Foundation stated, “TB remains a significant public health challenge in our country. Through the India Fights TB initiative, we aim to create widespread awareness about the disease, its symptoms, and the critical importance of early diagnosis and treatment adherence. By educating the public and fostering a supportive environment, we can work towards reducing the stigma associated with TB and empower patients to complete their treatment.”
