Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai today launched the Radiation-Oncology centre. Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai in its endeavour to bring world-class cancer care to Navi Mumbai, today launched the most advanced and latest Radiation technology called TrueBeam® STx stereotactic radiosurgery system. TrueBeam® STx allows significantly faster, more precise, image-guided radiosurgery; helping to treat difficult-to-reach tumours in any part of the body. The state-of-the art machine was inaugurated by Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Chairman – Apollo Hospitals Group in the presence of Dr. Rajendra Badwe, Director – Tata Memorial Centre; inspiring cancer survivor and acclaimed actress Ms. Manisha Koirala, and Ms. Preetha Reddy, Vice-Chairperson – Apollo Hospitals Group.

Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, with the launch of the TrueBeam® STx stereotactic radiosurgery system, brings Apollo Cancer Care with the finest radiation technology and infrastructure for comprehensive organ specific cancer care with multidisciplinary medical, surgical and radiation oncology treatments of cancer patients. The Navi Mumbai Hospital’s proximity to the neighbouring cities like Ratnagiri, Raigad, Satara, Solapur and Sangli with benefit the patients with an advanced treatment to fight the battle against cancer.

TrueBeam® STx imaging and flexible architecture allows doctors the ability to interface with multiple technologies for imaging and disease-specific solutions. It is highly precise with sub-millimeter accuracy and avoids healthy cells so that there are almost nil side effects.
