To provide effective clinical decision through UpToDate

Wolters Kluwer, Health, provider of trusted clinical technology and evidence-based solutions, announced its association with Cloudnine Hospitals to integrate its clinical decision support (CDS) resource, UpToDate to enhance patient care and quality throughout its group. Wolters Kluwer’s UpToDate will now be available to Cloudnine Group of Hospitals across geographies in India.

UpToDate, is the only clinical decision support resource that leverages evidence-based content to enable improved patient outcomes and quality care. Cloudnine Hospital selected UpToDate for its Pathways which provide interactive guidance along with critical decision points, personalized for each patient. UpToDate Pathways will be used in the development of local clinical pathways that are specific to the hospital and designed to improve quality performance metrics through the adoption of evidence-based medicine. UpToDate is reportedly used by over 1.9 million clinicians around the world – is the “only clinical decision support resource associated with improved patient outcomes and hospital performance.”

“We are honoured to extend our support to Cloudnine Hospitals in their endeavour of providing the best clinical outcomes for every patient, commented Harish Ramachandran, Country Head for Clinical Effectiveness, Wolters Kluwer- Health. “Their profound commitment of bringing standardisation and quality care with UpToDate Advanced resonates with our values and mission to provide evidence-based clinical decision support in the clinical set-up for standardised and high-quality care throughout a patient’s care journey,” he added.

Raviganesh Venkataraman, CEO, Cloudnine Group of Hospitals said, “Customer safety is our priority and innovation has always been core to our business. As more of the population ages, life expectancy increases, and as the nursing shortage continues, new age medical technologies are becoming more crucial for continued medical care. Thus, integrating UpToDate will help support the clinicians to drive consistent high-quality care, minimise errors and improve hospital efficiency to provide seamless maternity services.”
